St Thomas has an international airport (STT). American, Delta, United, Spirit and JetBlue are the major carriers serving St.Thomas.
You can also fly to San Juan (code is SJU) and catch an island hopper over to STT. Southwest is an additional major carrier in San Juan. CapeAir, Air Sunshine and Seaborne are some of the inter-island carriers that have regular flights between SJU and STT.
If neither of these options suit your needs, there is also an airport on St. Croix, USVI (STX) and on Tortola in the BVI (EIS).
We have a good friend, Kevin, who dispatches and drives for a local company and we will be happy to schedule pick up with him for you and your crew. The fare is $20/pp for a private ride to the East End from the airport that includes all bag fees. Should you choose to arrange pick up with him yourself, you can reach him at 340-643-0025. Please provide airport arrival information at least 24 hours in advance. Also, if you'd like to stop on the way to shop for provisions, that can be arranged.
If Kevin is unavailable, there are MANY other cabs at the airport that will be happy to bring you to our home slip on the East End, although rates may differ from the above.
Yes, if you plan to include any of the British Virgin Islands in your itinerary, you will need a valid passport issued by your home country to enter the BVI and to re-enter the USVI. Dependent upon your home country, visas may also be required. (US residents are not required to obtain visas to enter the BVI.)
If you prefer to schedule a charter that remains in USVI waters, passports are not required. Valid state issued ID and a birth certificate will be needed in order to pass through US customs at the airport for your return flight, though. (Check out our itinerary starters for more information about USVI and BVI locations.)
